"JAPANESE SENSE OF BEAUTY — MOVE ON" Group Exhibition, Park Hotel Tokyo, Tokyo, Japan

Upcoming Group Exhibition, Los Angeles, USA (The Pop-Up Project)

EMMI NARASAKI

I capture scenes in which flowers appear as characters.

Each flower is part of the cast.
I consider where to focus,
and what moment to hold.

The texture of a petal.
The fine hair along a stem.
A faint stain that appears over time.

And then I decide
what kind of dress the flower will wear.

Holding it in my hand, I realized how the petal and stem form one seamless structure, lightly curled as if breathing. The inside of the stem feels hollow, flaring softly into a trumpet shape toward the tip — like a quiet sigh dissolving into the air.
